Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Promote Yourself Inc ("Locked In," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Locked In mobile application (the "App") and the website at gettinglockedin.com (the "Site"). By using the App or Site, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Information we collect
We have designed Locked In to collect as little information as possible.
Information you provide directly. Locked In does not require an account, name, email address, or any other personally identifiable information to use the App. You can open the App and start a session without registering.
Free trial information. Locked In offers a 3-day free trial that begins after onboarding. The trial is granted locally by the App and does not require payment information. The App stores trial start time on your device only; we do not transmit this to our servers.
Subscription and purchase information. When you purchase a subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see or store your payment card details. We receive an anonymous subscription receipt from Apple, processed on our behalf by RevenueCat, Inc. ("RevenueCat"), which we use to confirm your subscription status and unlock paid features in the App.
Usage information. The current version of the App does not include third-party analytics. We do not track which sessions you start, complete, or skip on our servers. The App stores your session history locally on your device only.
Device information. Your device sends standard technical information (device type, operating system version) to Apple as part of the App Store experience. We do not collect device identifiers ourselves.
Children's information. Locked In is intended for use by softball players of any age, including those under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not require accounts and do not collect identifying information directly, we have designed the App to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA") and similar laws. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through the App, please contact us at support@gettinglockedin.com and we will investigate and delete any such information.
2. How we use information
We use the limited information we receive only to:
- Verify your subscription status and unlock paid features
- Process and respond to support inquiries you send us
- Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your information. We do not use your information for advertising. We do not build advertising profiles about you.
3. How we share information
We share information only with the following service providers, who help us operate the App:
- Apple Inc. processes all payments and subscription billing through your Apple ID. Apple's privacy practices are described in the Apple Privacy Policy at apple.com/legal/privacy.
- RevenueCat, Inc. processes anonymous subscription receipts on our behalf to validate subscriptions. RevenueCat's privacy practices are described at revenuecat.com/privacy.
We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Promote Yourself Inc, our users, or others.
4. Data retention
Subscription receipt data is retained for as long as you have an active subscription with us, plus a reasonable period to comply with legal, accounting, and audit obligations. Local session history stored on your device is retained until you delete the App or clear App data through your device settings.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding personal information we hold about you:
- The right to know what information we hold about you
- The right to request a copy of your information
- The right to request correction or deletion of your information
- The right to opt out of the sale of your information (we do not sell information)
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@gettinglockedin.com. Because we collect very little information, in most cases the only data we hold is your subscription status, identified by an anonymous RevenueCat user ID.
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know, the right to delete, and the right to opt out of sale of personal information.
EU and UK residents have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR, including the rights described above plus the right to object to processing and the right to data portability. Our legal basis for processing subscription data is the performance of a contract with you (your subscription).
6. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect the limited information we hold, including TLS encryption for data in transit and access controls on the systems we operate. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk where we can.
7. International transfers
If you use Locked In from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our service providers are located. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. If the changes are material, we will provide additional notice through the App.
